The Free Range Pastor (TFRP) receives accountability through people who’ve known him over the long seasons of life. Each believes in him as a pastor and is willing to say hard things, set boundaries,

and keep his ambitions and ego in check.

Being a free range pastor does not mean there are no healthy checks and balances. The Free Range Pastor has a variety of tethers to keep him healthy, grounded, and on mission.

The Advisory Board consist of six couples living in Franklin, TN., who share life together with the Leggetts.

values displayed in the work of TFRP. They make an investment in

TFRP through their personal gifts and financial resources. They

offer friendship and community to the Leggetts.

They provide oversight of TFRP by reviewing the mission and goals

of TFRP on a quarterly basis, asking good questions and listening

for good answers while reviewing my budget, financials, schedule,

and opportunities.

C. Network

They share the mission and opportunities offered by TFRP
throughout their networks in an effort to grow the reach and
influence of the organization. They strategically invite people to
benefit from and invest in the work of TFRP.

D. Prayer

They take seriously the oversight responsibilities and needs of

TFRP by regularly praying for and with TFRP. They see themselves

as active participants in the mission and work of TFRP, meaning

they regularly seek to encourage TFRP through their lives, words,

and actions.

Alliance, a 501(c)(3) based in Birmingham, AL., offers financial oversight and

accountability to TFRP. Founded in 2008, Alliance is a network that connects

kingdom-minded individuals with

kingdom-centered ministries. Alliance

helps new efforts like TFRP launch and

grow through consulting, planning, and

fundraising. TFRP is an employee of

Alliance and on a team of like-minded

professionals offering nontraditional ministries.

3. Ordination Credentials

TFRP is an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and a member of the local governing board called the Nashville Presbytery. His ordination credentials were established at Southwood Presbyterian Church in 2003 where he served for 11 years before moving to Franklin, TN. For three decades, the TFRP has served churches in South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee.

TFRP is credentialed, called, and endorsed as a Civilian Chaplain to the GreaterNashville area by the Presbyterian and Reformed Commission on Chaplains andbMilitary Personnel (PRCC), which is also a credentialing organization within the PCA.
